Soaps N Butters You Can Almost Taste!

If you've been following me for some-time, you know I am replacing my everyday products with Black-owned goods. I have replaced my toothpaste, lotion for butters, and now my soap! I've fallen in love with Naturally Everything's soaps. My favorite soap is the Oatmeal Honey bar. The soap is made with 100% pure essential oils such as Olive oil, Apricot oil, and Safflower oil. This soap smells like a fresh baked cookie! After you use it, it instantly fills the bathroom with a pleasant smell that lingers after you're gone.

I have extremely sensitive skin so for the longest time I could only use unscented and sensitive skin soap. I've always wanted to use scented soaps but they irritate my skin. Now that I've found Naturally Everything, I am hooked! One of my favorite things about this soap is the ingredient list. I can pronounce and recognize each and every ingredient in the bar. One bar of soap usually lasts about 2-3 weeks before it becomes a remnant of the past, or that weird slither you only use in desperate times.

Naturally Everything offers a variety of products such as body butters, sugar scrubs, soaps, gift baskets, and Bath Salt Soaks. I was recently told how incredible the Lemon Lavender Body Butter is so I'm looking forward to my new shipment.

If you need more convincing to as to why a natural soap is the right choice take a look at your soaps ingredients.

  • Parabens: otherwise known as chemical preservatives, these harmful ingredients are found in majority of commercial soap and beauty products.

  • Phthalates: known to cause cancer, this additive is often used as a ‘plasticizer’- a fancy word for an ingredient used to produce plastic.

  • Petrochemicals: made from petroleum, these chemicals should be considered unsafe for humans because little is known about the longterm effects they have on our health.

  • Synthetic Perfume: artificial perfume scents, although they smell nice, are linked to allergies and hormonal issues. As well, synthetic ingredients such as perfume are likely to cause skin conditions and to aggravate existing issues such as acne.

  • Artificial Colouring: commercial soaps are packed with artificial dyes that have been known to cause health problems and illnesses in humans.

  • Healthy Oils: despite common belief – oil is actually an important ingredient in soap, especially if you have oily or acne prone skin. Added oils like coconut oil, grapeseed oil or olive oil help to nourish and moisturize skin and bring it back to its natural PH levels.

  • Essential Oils: scented natural soaps are usually created with an essential oil to produce a natural, harm-free odor.

  • Honey, Aloe, Oatmeal etc.: natural soaps are made with organic, biodegradable ingredients that are harvested, produced, or sourced in a safe and conscious way. Unlike chemical ingredients, a consumer can easily understand what these ingredients are and how their body will react to them.

  • Stearic Acid - Traditionally used as a thickening agent in lotion, this vegetable derived waxy substance is also used as a hardening agent in soaps
